"Through The Looking Glass" 32 x 50 Oil on Canvas  SOLD

And so should the water fall, in the spring, when this flower bursts forth for all to view.

This is the season for April showers. The delicate shades of white yield to the center of the peony,

which is passion flower red. Focus is drawn to single drop of water, near the painting’s center.

Here this bloom is seen in perfect inversion. The droplet serves both as sustenance for the flower

and as a “looking glass” for the viewer. Within the water drop, we truly view this scene as

if described by Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking Glass."
